PJ Burns is a human resources expert and is currently the President of her local Society of Human Resource Management Chapter.  She is a Wyoming native and is passionate about helping small businesses succeed. She has spent the majority of her career advising and advocating for small businesses in her roles at chambers of commerce and economic development organizations. She has a background in marketing, human resources, strategic planning, leadership, and management.

This session will help attendees understand best practices for hiring and training their dream team as they scale their business to the next level! 


Dr. Jaime Kelly is a retired military leader, combat veteran, and seasoned business strategist with over 20 years of service. Having successfully transitioned from active duty to executive roles in both government and Fortune 100 companies, she brings a unique blend of mission-driven leadership, operational excellence, and resilience to her work. Dr. Kelly holds a Doctor of Business Administration and is the author of a widely downloaded dissertation on customer retention in the service industry. Today, she empowers small business owners—especially fellow veterans—by translating academic research into real-world strategies that drive growth, loyalty, and impact. A mentor and advocate, Dr. Kelly is committed to helping veterans build lasting success beyond the uniform.

Dr. Kelly guides small business owners and leaders to retain customers, stand out in crowded markets, and grow with strategy-driven frameworks. Kenny Overbey's entrepreneurial journey began at the age of 15 when he started his first business. He has spent the past four years with the Colorado and Wyoming SBDC’s and brings experience in growing from start up to multiple locations, marketing, and employee management. Outside of work, Kenny is an avid outdoorsman who loves camping, fishing, and hiking with his wife and two daughters.

The KPI Playbook: Driving Success Through Measurements
This session helps you understand the concept of key performance indicators, and help businesses understand what it takes to operate multiple locations successfully.

Minden Fox is an award-winning entrepreneurship instructor and consultant dedicated to driving innovation through hands-on learning. At Laramie County Community College, she helps aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas into reality, leading initiatives like the Concept Forge makerspace and securing major funding to advance new technologies. With a background in marketing, e-commerce, and tech across several Wyoming startups—some acquired by major companies—Minden brings real-world experience to the classroom. She has supported dozens of students and community members in launching successful ventures across southeast Wyoming.

Navigating the Marketing Map: What Does and Doesn’t Work 
This session will help attendees understand that marketing is about strategy! She will teach best practices for implementing, and evaluating your marketing to bring you the best possible return on investment.
