Hosted by Fort Lewis College, the Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Southwest Colorado offers business advising and training that maximizes the economic potential of entrepreneurs in Archuleta County, Dolores County, La Plata County, Montezuma County, San Juan County, the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and the Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe.

The Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) helps both new and established entrepreneurs and small businesses succeed. The local center offers free guidance in all aspects of starting, financing, and managing a small business to help you reach your full business potential.

  • No-cost, confidential, one-on-one business advising from a network of approximately 300 business experts across the state.
  • Essential training, events, and workshops, which are offered at no- or low-cost.
  • A network of 14 service centers and over 25 satellite centers for convenient, local access to business support in all 64 counties.
  • Specialized business support in areas such as financial management, marketing, business planning, and more.
  • Statewide programs including Leading Edge, Exit Planning, Child Care, Marketing & Online Presence, and TechSource.
  • Support for businesses at every stage, from dreaming up a first business plan to mapping an exit strategy.
  • A variety of resources to help businesses start, grow, and thrive, including connections to community partners.
