3 Things That Set Us Apart

National Accreditation

The Colorado SBDC is the only statewide, nationally accredited program to serve all 64 counties. Every five years, we undergo an accreditation process with America's Small Business Development Center (ASBDC) to audit our programs, services, and operations to ensure we're performing at a high standard of quality and effectiveness.

Blueprint for Success

Since 1987, the Colorado SBDC has guided entrepreneurs and business owners through every stage of business - from launch through growth to exit. With a network of approximately 300 business experts, the we deliver no-cost, confidential one-on-one advising, essential training, and vital connections to community resources.

Measurable Impact

The Colorado SBDC is the only statewide network that provides clear, measurable results on the support we deliver. Our annual impact reports show real numbers. From new businesses started and capital secured to jobs created, and sales growth achieved, our track record of success speaks for itself.

Our Mission Is Simple

At the Colorado SBDC, we empower entrepreneurs and business owners to successfully navigate their full business lifecycle—from launch through growth to exit—by delivering impactful advising, actionable training, and essential connections to community resources.

Our Impact, By The Numbers

Our success is measured by yours. As the only statewide business resource with a public record of our impact, we take pride in the numbers that tell our story, especially since these metrics are all self-reported successes by our clients, not by us. Each year, we take great pride in sharing the impact of our work, and 2024 was no different. These figures aren’t just data points—they’re proof that our guidance turns business aspirations into tangible results.

2024 Reported Impact

452 businesses launched

1,800+ new jobs created

1,600 jobs retained

$120M secured capital

Community Rooted At Heart

When our clients succeed, we succeed. Their milestones—from securing a first loan to hiring a tenth employee or launching a new product—are the very metrics of our mission. Every success story, large or small, is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. It’s a testament to the hard work of Colorado's entrepreneurs and our dedicated team, a true partnership that turns business dreams into real-world impact.
