Success Story _ BHV Industries
BHV Industries | Arriba, CO
Ben with Big Ben’s Tiny House Community and BHV Adventures LLC faced the complex challenge of balancing construction, financing, permitting, and marketing—all while pioneering a business model that’s still emerging in the broader housing and hospitality sectors. Following the pandemic, BHV Industries relocated to Arriba, Colorado, seeking a new start after their business model was largely invalidated during the pandemic. Ben saw an opportunity to combine innovation, community, and sustainability through tiny home living and RV hospitality.
Recognizing The Need for Support
Through the Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Serving East Colorado free advising services and workshops, Ben gained access to valuable business resources through his business journey. The Colorado SBDC’s support helped Ben build confidence as he tackled a niche market, refined his business strategy, and support the hopes for his vision for expansion to develop more communities throughout Colorado.
The Colorado SBDC provided hands-on support that made a lasting impact on Ben’s business trajectory:
- Helped streamline BHV’s operations and planning processes.
- Financial Planning Resources – Guided Ben in developing strong, scalable financial models for both the RV park and future housing ventures.
- On Going Advising Support – Built Ben’s confidence in tackling a niche market and presenting his innovative vision to potential partners and investors.
The Future is Bright
What began as a post-pandemic restart has evolved into a thriving, forward-looking small business. With the Colorado SBDC’s guidance and Ben’s visionary leadership, BHV Industries is not only launched his RV park in Arriba but is not looking to manufacture tiny homes. Ben is building opportunities for sustainable living, economic development, and community connection across rural Colorado.
