Success Story _ Cimbra Inc
Cimbra Inc | Brighton, CO
Miriam Rodriguez, the founder and owner of Cimbra Inc., is a driving force in the Brighton construction industry, specializing in landscaping, environmental services, and land reclamation. In 2024, Cimbra celebrated its fifth business anniversary and Miriam credits the ongoing support and programming of the Colorado SBDC in North Metro Denver for fueling her growth.
Miriam's commitment to strategic expansion led her to graduate from the Leading Edge™ program through the Colorado SBDC. Her enthusiastic weekly engagement allowed her to capitalize on new information and propel Cimbra to the next level.
Through the Colorado SBDC's guidance and connections forged during the course, Miriam successfully achieved critical business certifications in October 2023, including:
- Minority/Woman-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE)
- Small Business Enterprise (SBE)
- Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
- Emerging Business Enterprise (EBE)
Miriam openly acknowledges the significant hurdles she faces as a female leader in the construction industry, a sector often marked by discrimination. Despite these challenges, the resources, information, and weekly encouragement gained from the Leading Edge™ course have given her a renewed outlook on the industry she loves.
Fueled by her expanded knowledge and a new sense of confidence, Miriam is determined to work through discrimination and live out her passion. As she powerfully states: "Information is power. I feel happy, and I feel like finally I am getting to where I wanted to be.”
Miriam Rodriguez is not just building projects; she's building empowerment and setting a new standard for female leadership in construction.
