Success Story _ Ohm on the Range
Ohm on the Range | Golden, CO
Terry Breheny, the founder and CEO of Ohm on the Range, possessed a deep passion for converting classic hot rods into electric vehicles (EVs). However, his focus remained on small educational efforts and individual car projects, limiting his potential. He came to the Colorado SBDC in North Metro Denver needing clarity on how to turn his passion into a scalable business with a broader, long-term vision.
Terry enrolled in the Leading Edge™ for Entrepreneurs course, where the structured curriculum, guidance from instructor Nancy, and insightful peer conversations provided the necessary framework for growth. The program helped him shift his perspective and see the potential for Ohm on the Range to move beyond custom conversions.
With support from the Colorado SBDC and input from classmates, Terry developed revolutionary ideas for expanding his business model, including:
- Launching EV "gas" stations paired with convenience stores.
- Building strategic partnerships within the EV sector.
- Creating multiple, scalable revenue streams.
The course provided the essential environment and tools needed to move from small beginnings to a powerful, strategic vision. As a direct result of the Leading Edge™ course, Terry now has a clearly defined blueprint for rapid expansion. He developed a comprehensive business plan outlining scalable opportunities beyond custom conversions.
Most importantly, this plan is now a confident, professional document ready to be presented to potential lenders or investors to secure funding. With a solid strategic foundation and a bigger vision, Ohm on the Range is powerfully positioned to make a bold and innovative impact in the EV world. Keep an eye out—Terry is just getting started.
